It’s not hard to shop without incorporating plastic into your shopping list. If you give a little thought to your list prior to going to the store we can all be winners with a cleaner environment!!

Spreading the message in little ways has been pretty effective. Most people act like my family, respectfully rolling their eyes and jokingly keeping me accountable for every scrap of plastic. But there are some people who really listen.

I've enjoyed this challenge again this year. The biggest change I would like to carry with me is getting better about my plastic bags. I need to stop talking and pay attention!

It takes a lot more pre thought to make sure everything is ready and clean. My family has been teasing me, kindly, but they've also made a few changes.

So, I have two very fun loving kitties who are working on loving each other. They're both tabbies, so furniture has no chance in my house. Their light hair shows up on dark fabrics and vice-versa. I call Charlie my cat puppy because he sometimes acts more like a dog than a cat.

I keep seeing more things to pick up! It's funny how you don't notice things until you're looking.

I have enjoyed participating in this July challenge knowing that everyone is working toward a common goal!

I very rarely eat at restaurants that offer plastic cutlery anymore.

I applaud grocery stores that have stopped using plastic bags.
