July 24 at 2:56 PMWoohoo we're almost done with the plastic-free challenge! I've definitely been more conscious of my plastic use, like making sure I don't use ziploc bags and plastic wrap or reusing purchased plastic containers as tupperware or mini plant greenhouses! How have you all been more conscious about your plastic use?

July 24 at 2:55 PMI switched to bar soap recently because Nick mentioned it, and I didn't realize how unsustainable it was to keep buying these plastic bottles. July 12 at 9:28 AMIt's surprisingly challenging to cook a zero-waste meal. I can buy some items in bulk with reusable containers, like oatmeal or pasta, but it can be difficult to find locations for these. Using my handy-dandy mesh bags instead of plastic bags at the grocery store (thanks SBC!) are also super helpful to reduce plastic.

July 8 at 10:00 AMI've recently been loving silicon Stasher bags, which are essentially reusable sandwich bags. I also always try to pack my lunch in a reusable Tupperware container, but it can definitely be challenging when eating out. I think being as mindful as possible and remembering that there is no "away" when you throw something away helps me...

July 8 at 9:58 AMI have found social media to be an effective way to meet new people and interact with other sustainability professionals and is an amazing way to raise awareness.
