Our Green Team has a vision:  We envision a world where eco sustainable practices come naturally.

Working on hosting a lunch Teach and Eat with other city department to let them know about all of the work we are doing here at the zoo to be a greener facility.  Hoping to have an impact that will carry through to other city departments!

We are able to up our fresh produce intake this way. Also using reusable containers for smaller fruits has been super easy as well.

Today the guy at the grocery store randomly started putting my groceries in plastic bags even though I had my 15 reusable bags. It was awkward to have to let him know I was going to have to redo it. He was nice about it and didnt seem offended. Really enjoying my reusable bags more than I thought. 

Working on transforming our existing recycling bins into aluminum can recycling only. Hopefully this encourages and makes it easier for our guests and staff to start and make sure our aluminum water cans from the gift shop get recycled! 

Officially ordered my saalt cup today. It was pretty pricey but I did my research trying to find the best one for my lifestyle. Really hoping I like it and can get away from traditional products!

Discussing our animal art for the upcoming art festival. This  year we decided we're going to have an eco section! Animal paintings on canvas bags, reusable mugs, and canvas bags for reusable straws!
