I carried around my Planet3 Ecobag tote all day. It made it so easy to avoid packaging and was an excellent end to the ecochallenge!

Living in Seattle, I am used to a plethora of non-plastic options, especially at farmers markets, which are often waste-free events. However, I recently spent a few days in Colorado, where I went to a farmers market. I was shocked to see the volume of plastic bags and wrappers there. It was both startling and sad to realize that the relative...

Most important part is keeping my reusable straw, utensils, napkin and mug in my backpack so I can avoid disposables. And remembering to wash them at night

New York is starting a Ban on Plastic Bags!  I also signed a petition from my home town in New Haven about single use plastic reduction and one for the declaration of a climate emergency!

This morning we made Calla bread French toadt- bread was locally made and packaged in our bred bag (we reuse). For lunch I made a sandwich with homemade cashew paste for protein, lettuce from the farmers market and other fresh vegg! All our veggies from the farmers market we take home without plastic bags ;) for dinner we are thinking about a...

Yesterday was one of the best days. I enjoyed eating and drinking because I knew that I was staying eco-friendly and as my friends say, "I was saving the turtles."

This deodorant was made by a friend! Coconut oil essential oil- anti bacterial - and baking soda! Tiny jar is reusable! Tbh only use it when I really need to not smell 😅

When I need a bag to keep leafy greens fresh I rinse a saved plastic shopping bag(like this green one) and put my clean greens inside. An extra rinse when I take them out and they are still stiff and fresh! It's a reuse of the shopping bag, and keeping produce fresh!

I used to think the plastic on food was protecting my vegetables from the environment. Funny because vegetables are grown outside! Now I get all my veiies at the farmer market (yay summer!) and I usually just  place  them in to a clean reusable. If I have it my netted bag.
