I watched "Albatross" the film last night after reading that someone had a screening of it for Plastic Free July. The preview alone is super depressing but the actual film is focuses more on the actual bird life cycle but with a strong message about plastic waste. Recommend it, but warning that it is hard to watch!

Made my own challenge today was making some dilled beans with the abundant supply that my garden is producing. I used recycled pasta sauce jars.

This has been a very rewarding experience. I hope to continue all of the challenges throughout the year. And I hope next year more people participate in this challenge!

Having dogs enriches our lives both physically and emotionally. They keep us active with long walks every day regardless of the weather!

We travel with two dogs so we often need to do take out for some meals. I travel with 2 plates, 2 glasses, 2 cloth napkins and real cutlery. If we do order in, we do not require disposable eating utensils and this does help cut down the use of plastic.

Last day of July which means the end to the 2019 Eco challenge.  Just think of how we can impact our world if everyone continued to do at least one thing each day from their list of activities for an entire year!!!  It is known that doing something for 21 days straight will make it a habit.  What a great habit to have!!!  I encourage everyone...

No plastic involved with these fresh picked vegetables!

Local ice cream company has the right idea....a glass jar for ice cream with a refundable deposit when you take it back to be reused. So much better than plastic wrapped cardboard containers.

No more plastic clam shells for this house. If I cannot purchase berries in recycled paper boxes, I won’t buy them!
