    We had a guest speaker from the City of San Antonio talk about recycling to summer naturalist volunteers today. Reduce is the most important of the 3 r’s.

      So true!  I think we all fall into the trap of "it's recyclable so it's okay to purchase," when the reality is a lot of it won't really be recycled and it should have been avoided or manufactured/packaged differently in the first place.  Great that you're getting the message out there!

    I bought some lavender bar soap that was packaged in 100% recycled paper at target. Now, I can pack that and my shampoo bar for my upcoming trip!

    At our trash clean up today, San Antonio Zoo volunteers picked up 5006 pieces of trash in all shapes and sizes! Way to go team!
