Anna's actions
Personal Care
That Was a Close Shave
I will replace my disposable razors with steel razors. Why not try using hair conditioner instead of shaving foam for that baby smooth feel?
Family
Discover Together
I will spend 15 minutes educating my family on the basics of living a reduced/no-plastic lifestyle.
Food
Visit the Butcher
I will purchase meats and cheeses from the deli counter or a butcher shop, and use my own containers to do so.
Lifestyle
Travel Eating
If traveling, I will bring my own airplane snacks and eat at local restaurants to avoid take-out containers.
Personal Care
Lather Up
I will replace my soaps, shampoos, and conditions with either a bar or refillable option.
Food
Use a Reusable Mug / Collapsible Cup
I will avoid sending 1 disposable cup(s) to the landfill per day by using a reusable mug or bringing my own collapsible cup.
Community
Share My Actions
I will make my environmental actions visible by posting to my social media networks.
Food
Make Your Own
I will try new recipe(s) or food preparation method(s) each day, such as canning, pickling, making yogurt, or baking granola bars or bread.
Lifestyle
Travel Smart
If traveling, I will bring my own plastic free items (water bottle, grocery bags, collapsible food containers, utensils, straws, etc.) with me.

REFLECTION QUESTIONFamily Discover TogetherWhat concerns you the most about how we are affecting the planet? Consider both local and global actions.
Anna Winn 7/05/2019 9:29 AMI had a conversation with my 5 year old about why we weren't going to buy her plastic lunchbox items this year, even though they had cool characters. She was upset until we started talking about all the creatures she watches on Octonauts and how they can be hurt by plastic. Then she was on board to get a metal water bottle and add her own character stickers!
