REFLECTION QUESTIONLifestyle Watch a DocumentaryWhich documentary did you choose to watch? What did you learn?
Anthony Wilson 7/31/2019 1:36 PMwe watched several, but this really hit home. Plastic is absolutely one of the worst pollutants, and we're doing it to ourselves. The worst part about plastic, is it can even be recycled, yet we refuse.

Anthony Wilson 7/20/2019 12:55 PMSo this weekend I will be looking into pet waste disposal. Turning it into something like fertilizer would be better than flushing it down the toilet. I'm not too keen on the idea of an animal septic tank.... -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFood Takeout ProHow could you mitigate issues that may arise if the restaurant does not want to let you use your own containers at first?
Anthony Wilson 7/19/2019 1:08 PMAny issues that could arise from the restaurant I think would be a fairly easy compromise. For one it comes down to bottom line. If everyone brought in their own containers, in the end the business would be saving money. Secondly with everyone keeping an eye on their health nowadays, using your own containers would diminish the risk of any allergen or food illness that could arise. I think it's a great idea, but one however that may take some convincing to catch on. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONLifestyle Complete a Waste AuditWhat did you learn about the waste you create? Where can you reduce the most?
Anthony Wilson 7/17/2019 12:44 PMWhat I learned from the waste audit is really enlightening. Since this competition last year, my eyes were open to being mindful of the stuff I throw away. I try to compost as much as I can and any plastic I do have I try to recycle. Rejecting the straw is nearly second nature now and plastic bags from the grocery store are almost nonexistent. I do use the smaller bags for the bathroom trash, so I will gather a few every so often but if I can reduce the amount of them I will. -

Anthony Wilson 7/15/2019 5:51 PMStill going strong. Even with this event, cutting out plastic is challenging. I'm doing my best and tomorrow I'm sitting down and doing my plastic waste audit. It will be interesting to see my usage now and what it its at the end of this event. -
