Corryn's actions
Create Your Own Action
Compost-tea-ble
Use loose-leaf tea in a reusable diffuser instead of tea bags. Purchase zero waste loose leaf tea, ideally with compostable or recyclable packaging; or make sure tea bags are compostable.
Community
Keep My Community Clean
I will pick up 3 piece(s) of litter each day.
Lifestyle
Travel Smart
If traveling, I will bring my own plastic free items (water bottle, grocery bags, collapsible food containers, utensils, straws, etc.) with me.
Personal Care
Fresh as a Daisy
I will use deodorant either from a bar or a jar or I will make my own.
Personal Care
That Was a Close Shave
I will replace my disposable razors with steel razors. Why not try using hair conditioner instead of shaving foam for that baby smooth feel?
Personal Care
Brusha Brusha Brusha
I will replace my plastic toothbrush with a bamboo toothbrush.
Personal Care
Pearly Whites
I will purchase toothpaste in an aluminum tube or in a glass jar or make my own!
Food
Plant a Garden
I will plant an herb or vegetable garden in my home, workplace, or community garden
Food
Make Your Own
I will try new recipe(s) or food preparation method(s) each day, such as canning, pickling, making yogurt, or baking granola bars or bread.
Food
Buy Unpackaged Produce
I will purchase produce items without plastic packaging.
Food
Shop the Bulk Bins
I will purchase dry goods from the bulk section of my grocery store, and use my own containers to do so.
Pets
Pet Waste
I will spend 45 minutes learning how to compost pet waste at home or research pet waste composting services available in my area.
Food
Use a Reusable Mug / Collapsible Cup
I will avoid sending 2 disposable cup(s) to the landfill per day by using a reusable mug or bringing my own collapsible cup.

Corryn Willey 7/29/2019 9:16 PMFor those of you who are tea lovers I recently discovered a company called Arbor Teas. They sell fair trade, loose leaf tea and they have so many flavors. The tea is delicious, but the best part is that the packaging the tea comes in is backyard compostable! They also ship with recyclable materials. -
Corryn Willey 7/28/2019 9:33 AMI stumbled upon a company called the Zero Waste Cartel. They have a lot of neat products that are zero waste. They even have reef safe sunscreen. :) -
Corryn Willey 7/25/2019 6:44 PMMy eco friendly Myro deoderant came in the other day. The outer case is reusable and the inserts are recyclable once you've used up the deoderant. So far I like it! -
Corryn Willey 7/09/2019 9:18 PMWe tried out a new bread recipe tonight. I hope it tastes as good as it smells!
