I will only buy cloth, wooden or plant-based natural rubber toys. Or make our own toys from recycled items found in our home!
Lifestyle
Natural Fibers
When available, I will purchase clothing made with natural fibers, such as cotton, linen, or wool, rather than synthetic fibers.
Lifestyle
Naked Bins
I will either line my trash cans with repurposed newspaper or paper bags, or I will not line my trash cans at all.

Pet Waste
I will spend 30 minutes learning how to compost pet waste at home or research pet waste composting services available in my area.

Homemade Pet Food/Treats
I will prepare my own pet food and treats to avoid plastic packaging.

Try a Pet Shampoo Bar
I will replace my pet's shampoo with an eco-friendly shampoo bar.

Brusha Brusha Brusha
I will replace my plastic toothbrush with a bamboo toothbrush.

REFLECTION QUESTIONPersonal Care Pearly WhitesCurrently most of the packaging for toothpaste is plastic. How can you advocate for more alternatives through your purchasing power and influence in community?
Megan Wharton 7/06/2019 12:47 PMThe less people who purchase toothpaste in plastic eventually the companies will get the hint and stop but we need to get more people to make the switch. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONPersonal Care Brusha Brusha BrushaWhat are the benefits of switching to bamboo toothbrushes? How would you implore others in your community to make this switch as well?

Megan Wharton 7/03/2019 2:12 PMI'm excited to try and make my own deodorant. It was nice to see that other's have had the same issues with store bought natural deodorant but have had success with the home made one's. I'm not looking forward to my body detoxing from the chemical's (sweat, smells, etc) in the summer but hey once it's done..it's done.
