Julianna Weisgarber 7/23/2019 2:34 PMMy boyfriend thoughtfully bought me a set of bamboo toothbrushes for my birthday, so I no longer have to worry about the cost of switching. Hooray!!! They are absolutely beautiful, and they came in zero-waste packaging. Sooo much nicer than plastic! -
Julianna Weisgarber 7/23/2019 2:32 PMI've already used my new reusable produce bags once, and I love them!!! They are sturdier and look better than the flimsy plastic ones. -
Julianna Weisgarber 7/11/2019 3:04 PMI will be buying my first-ever reusable produce bags from the local Farmer's Market this Saturday. Super excited. Now every time I go to the store I think about it. -
Julianna Weisgarber 7/05/2019 10:56 AMOne of the toughest challenges I might choose to face is only using reusable mugs and cutlery when I buy tea or eat on the go, but I'm considering making it easier for myself by creating a reusable dish kit. I'm thinking of buying a zippered cotton or linen bag and filling it with a set of bamboo chopsticks, 1 set of reusable cutlery, a collapsible or to-go mug, and possibly even an unbreakable plate. Then I will store it in my car and when I buy tea on the go, the mug will always be there. I don't buy food or tea out too often, and it's almost always when I'm using my car, so I think this would help me. However, one of the hardest parts of implementing this idea is to remember to always tell the cashier that I want to use my own cup or cutlery. Much of the time they don't ask you, so speaking up each and every time is going to be challenging. Changing your habits is necessary, but unfortunately, it is also really, really hard.
