Katie Van Singel 7/06/2019 7:42 PMWent to Panda Express with my husband for dinner tonight. We went in instead of going through the drive through so that we could avoid as much plastic as possible, but when you dine it, the food is all served in the plastic takeout containers. ☹️ We avoided using straws, but I’m pretty disappointed with their plastic usage. We dined in at Cane’s the other night and successfully avoided plastic there, at least!-
Jessica Quinnett 7/26/2019 11:53 AMYou can also ask them to put it in their paper boxes that look like the normal Asian to-go boxes. I did that the last time I went in. -
Karen Wilson 7/07/2019 4:59 PMAt Panda when you go inside and order their "Bowl" which is normally served in a plastic container you can ask for the contents to be put on a plate instead - I do it all the time.

Katie Van Singel 7/01/2019 4:31 PMToday my mother in law asked me what I recommended she and my father in law could do to help reduce their plastic usage. Just goes to show people pay attention to what you do! I hope to inspire more people to reduce their plastic this month (and hopefully after)! -
Katie Van Singel 6/27/2019 7:40 AMIf anyone is looking for a new phone case, I recently bought a biodegradable case from Pela. When you're done using it, you can compost it! I used to use Lifeproof because #ZookeeperLife, but I've dropped my phone with my Pela case and there were no scratches or broken screens! I purchased a glass screen protector since the case does not cover your screen, but Pela also makes their own screen protecting liquid that comes in glass jars. My phone model is older so I wasn't sure if it would be safe to use with my phone.
You can buy them on Amazon, but I purchased mine from their website: https://pelacase.com/!
