Getting the word out can help create a community of activists. I'm opting to use my social media voice to ask for change so that more people can be inspired to take action. #RippleEffect

Do an inventory of your kitchen to see how many single-use plastics you've used in the past. What are some resuable alternatives to these commonly used products? What would your impact be if you switched all the single-use products from your inventory to reusable?

I've switched to buying dry goods in bulk but we still have plastic packed items mostly because my partner is not bulk savvy. My goal is to share my knowledge with him so he can opt for more sustainable packaging (e.g. BYO bulk bag) . Knowledge is power!

Hooray for day one of Plastic Free July! I'm excited to learn with and from all of you. It's been a while since I've done a waste audit so I'm stoked to use some data to better inform me of the actions I can take to further phase out and reduce single-use plastics from my life.
