Create Your Own Action

Let me bag that for you.

Provide reusable bags to those who do not think about the impact of plastic bags. This is a very small change that can make a big difference, as people notice you in the stores with your own bags, and they question you. That is a perfect opportunity to spread the word, and when they see that you are passionate enough to purchase a bag for them, it inspires them to make the change as well!

  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Personal Care Fresh as a Daisy
Do some research on the toxic side affects of aluminum deodorant. After reading the side effects, can you think of instances where you may have experienced the side effects from this form of deodorant?

Oh yes!  Some of these deodorants carry more aluminum than others!  I have become very itchy, broken out in rashes, and even had my skin burned from prolonged use.  I find that using a mix of baking soda and baby powder is a better option for me.

Here we are at the end of the challenge.  I will continue to learn and teach others how to become better stewards of our planet.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Pets Pet Waste
By composting your pet waste, you are turning waste into nutrients to feed the soil. In what other ways can you turn waste into a resource in your life?

My daughter has been researching composting, and has made her own compost bin!  She saw all of the scraps that we disposed of, and put them to use!  We now have our own worms to feed to our animals, and do not have to purchase them.  So proud of my kiddo!

My critter kids are my life!!!!  They make me happy by just being there for me all the time, not judging me, and loving me for who I am.  They all have their own little quirky attitudes, and they make me laugh.  All the time.  Couldn't imagine life without them.

I messed up today.  Went to food trucks, and used their plastic ware, as I forgot my reusables.  :(
