Brooke Tate 7/31/2019 8:45 AMHere's to a month of challenges that I hope we can all do our best to uphold for many months beyond! #plasticfree -
Brooke Tate 7/30/2019 7:11 PMWent out to eat twice today and no one used straws! I love how me asking just a few times makes people conscious of my care for the environment and makes them more conscious of it too -
Brooke Tate 7/29/2019 7:23 PMMy water bottle broke last week and I’ve been putting off getting a new one. I was going to order one from amazon for the sake of convenience, but I persisted and went to the store and got one with only one plastic sticker as “packaging”, to save the unnecessary packaging it would have shipped in! -
Brooke Tate 7/28/2019 8:48 AMGiving away some of my plants that are finally sprouting out of the soil to some friends! I don't have enough pots for all of them and I figure its best to share the home garden culture.-
Kayla Muzzillo 7/30/2019 11:12 AMWhat type of plants?😊😊

Brooke Tate 7/27/2019 10:04 AMForgot my own spoons at home yesterday when I went out to get froyo! Won't make that mistake next time. -
Brooke Tate 7/26/2019 10:20 AMDoes this platform stay around after July? It’s been super helpful to get ideas from other people in the community!!!-
Kayla Muzzillo 7/28/2019 2:54 PMI believe it is an ongoing platform, just the point system will end. I plan to still use because it helps me stay on track! 😊😊

Brooke Tate 7/25/2019 6:43 AMI went to Lucky's yesterday and brought my own containers for olive oil and meats! I had actually never been before and definitely plan on going back. I gotta try that BYOJ chocolate peanut butter they have.-
Krystal Nelson 7/28/2019 7:13 AMOh my goodness, that PB sounds dangerously good!

Brooke Tate 7/24/2019 8:40 AMFarmers market run today!! Honestly one of my favorite things to do. Bringing all my own produce bags. I also need to purchase a new water bottle since mine finally broke.... maybe I can find a good, package free one at Life Unplastic?! -
Brooke Tate 7/23/2019 5:19 PMA hard switch for me to limit overall waste is beans. I usually buy beans already ready to eat. BUT I have recently bought some dry beans with my own containers and am currently experimenting with softening and sprouting them myself! I also went on a long walk today and picked up LOTS of litter! -
Brooke Tate 7/22/2019 6:27 PMFor stores in town that let you bring your own container for meats - what type of containers do you all who use this service find are best? I want to know what works well for when I try this! Is a standard tupperware appropriate?-
Brooke Tate 7/23/2019 5:13 PMThank you so much!!! -
Juan Leguizamon 7/23/2019 5:14 AMI typically just bring bigger tupperware that will fit the meats/quantity I am trying to purchase. I think glass tupperware would work fine as well since they tare your container before putting your meats within it.
P.S. they tare you container at the meat counter at Lucky's and Whole Foods so there's no need to go to the front counters to do that.
