I will host or participate in a beach, highway, river, or other cleanup effort in my community.

Kayla Suellentrop 7/01/2019 11:41 AMHAPPY PLASTIC FREE JULY EVERYONE!
Today is the day! Thank you to everyone that has joined, I cannot wait to see the impact we make as a team. Remember to try to log your efforts daily so we can start racking up those points. If you miss some days or forget your refillable water bottle at home or accidently accept a straw don't beat yourself up! Even if you have a slip up, know that we are all doing the best we can to refuse as much single use plastic as possible. The purpose of Plastic Free July is to form good habits that we keep with us for the rest of the year!
I would love it if everyone would share one of their challenges that they find the most well, challenging! Personally I have really be slacking on refusing those single use plastic straws! Sometimes those servers are just so dang quick on the draw with them! I plan to really buckle down this July with the straw use. Did you know over 500 million straws are thrown away everyday in the US alone?!
Don't forget it isn't too late to invite more friends, family, and coworkers to the team! Anyone can join anytime throughout the month!

Kayla Suellentrop 6/27/2019 11:10 AMWelcome to the Plastic Free July Ecochallenge!
We only have FOUR more days before the challenge truly gets started! While living a life without any plastic consumption might seem completely unattainable, remember that one action at a time adds up. Last year over 120 million people participated in Plastic Free July challenges across the globe! I'd like to invite everyone to do their part in making our world a better place each and every day.
