REFLECTION QUESTIONPets Invest in a Pooper-ScooperHow are caring for your pet and caring for the environment connected for you?
Sunny Starr 7/16/2019 11:01 AMthe products used for my pets are just as impactful as the products I use. if I don't use the best options there wont be a clean environment for me or my pets.

REFLECTION QUESTIONPersonal Care That Was a Close ShaveWhat have you noticed about the economic and social impact of switching to steel razors? Was there ever really a need for disposable razors, or do you think it was just a way to sell more things?
Sunny Starr 7/16/2019 10:45 AMI should have used steel razors a long time ago!!! I don't think there was ever a need for disposable razors they don't work as well, and Im pretty sure people get them only cause they are cheap. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONPersonal Care Brusha Brusha BrushaWhat are the benefits of switching to bamboo toothbrushes? How would you implore others in your community to make this switch as well?
Sunny Starr 7/16/2019 10:40 AMI like the bamboo toothbrush not a big difference aside from no plastic I was able to get my sister and her household to switch. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONPersonal Care Lather UpWhat are the economic and personal benefits of switching to bar soap/shampoo/conditioner or refillable bottle options?
Sunny Starr 7/16/2019 10:39 AMthe bar soap last a lot longer. I usually run out after the second or third day. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFood Buy Unpackaged ProduceWhy do you think these produce products started amassing so much plastic packaging? Who is the plastic packaging really serving -- the consumer, the producer, or someone else?
Sunny Starr 7/16/2019 10:35 AMI think they are trying to give off the impression that they have the freshest produce. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFamily Swap the SnacksHow does swapping out prepackaged snacks for fresh fruit or veggies benefit your family?
Sunny Starr 7/16/2019 10:32 AMit benefits their health it doesn't benefit my ears when my 4 year old cries about how much she wants chips instead of carrots but its ok she can get over it. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFamily Thoughtful ToysDoes your child play differently with natural or repurposed toys than with other toys? If so, how?
Sunny Starr 7/16/2019 10:29 AMmy kids don't mind the used toy even if broken they still enjoy them and wont let me throw anything away not so bad... until you wake up to a Barbie head in your face and the arm stuck in your nose that wasn't fun. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFamily Provide the AlternativesWhat single-use items (e.g. straws, coffee cups, vegetable bags, plastic bags) does your family regularly use? What could be substituted instead?
Sunny Starr 7/16/2019 10:25 AMplastic bags were replaced with reusable bags. vegetable bags were cut out completely. and straws were also cut out completely and the one we already had were used for art projects by the kids -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFood Takeout ProHow could you mitigate issues that may arise if the restaurant does not want to let you use your own containers at first?
Sunny Starr 7/16/2019 10:21 AMthe people looked at me crazy when I took my own container I explained the damage done to the environment every time this stuff ends up in our landfills im sure they think im a crazy tree hugger now but I don't mind id prefer to hug trees than to have none at all in the future. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFood Minimize PackagingWith the added mindfulness of reducing your packaging, what have you noticed about the amount and type of single use plastics used for packaging when you shop in the grocery store?
Sunny Starr 7/16/2019 10:17 AMthere is a lot less trash and plastic being thrown out at my house by not buying pre-wrapped veggies
