My actions were not overly challenging, but if everyone did their part we could make a big difference for our future generations. It scares me to think how we may be leaving this planet.

Having a whole month to practice my challenges has really helped me to remember in the future what I need to do to make this a better planet.

Good. Since we’re back from my vacation, I think it’s easier. We don’t go out to eat that much. I don’t have to worry about plastic straws or utensils.

I joined because my daughter challenged me and I want to make the environment better for my grandkids.

    Food Use Reusable Utensils
How can you be an advocate for using resusables instead of disposables for the rest of your community? Where are they currently dependent on disposable cutlery, and how can you convince them of the need for change?

I started by encouraging family members to use reusable especially my grandkids. It’s there generation that is going to be impacted by our wastefulness.

My husband bought both of us a collapsible metal straw. Getting the husband involved!! Yay!
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Food Minimize Packaging
With the added mindfulness of reducing your packaging, what have you noticed about the amount and type of single use plastics used for packaging when you shop in the grocery store?

Some items are packed so as to make it look like you are getting more product than you actually are. Reduce the over packaging so we can see what we are really getting.
