I skip the straw when I can now and it has made me very aware of restaurants that automatically put a straw in your water. I purchased a collapsible straw that you can keep in your purse but haven't used it yet.

I have been using a reusable cup now for a while - having my yeti keeps my drink cold longer and it also keeps bottles out of the landfill. It also helps to have bottle filling stations readily available.
