    It makes it easier for the producers to charge more money since they can sell smaller amounts of items

    Why do you think these produce products started amassing so much plastic packaging? Who is the plastic packaging really serving -- the consumer, the producer, or someone else?

    It's the cheapest option for the producer. The consumer probably wouldn't care if the producer used a non-plastic option
