Nicole's actions
Create Your Own Action
Skip the stick
I have given up plastic floss sticks and gone back to regular dental floss. I have been using floss sticks for years because they are convenient and easy to carry with you and less messy. But they are also an unnecessary single use plastic.
Food
Use Reusable Bags
I will not accept any disposable bags when making purchases, including produce bags.
Food
Skip the Straw
I will keep 1 plastic straw(s) out of the landfill per day by refusing straws or using my own glass/metal straw.
Participant Feed
Reflection, encouragement, and relationship building are all important aspects of getting a new habit to stick.
Share thoughts, encourage others, and reinforce positive new habits on the Feed.
To get started, share “your why.” Why did you join the challenge and choose the actions you did?

Nicole Ryan 6/26/2019 7:46 AMI’m starting the challenge early. It’s crazy how embedded plastic has become in our daily lives. I’m grateful for this challenge because the plastic problem is so overwhelming. This gives me a chance to take smaller steps towards living a life less plastic. -
Nicole Ryan 6/15/2019 6:45 AMI am very excited to finally kick these bad habits for good. I struggle with both of these things, going back and forth between steaks of good choices and streaks of forgetfulness. I am happy to participate in this challenge as an accountability measure so that hopefully it becomes more imbedded into my daily routines.
