I have a food allergy so I always bring my own snacks with me when I travel, so this challenge was easy for me.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION

I have not noticed much of a change in my community here at home.  However I have travel a few times to Florida this year and have noticed the switch from plastic straws to paper all over the state.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Family Provide the Alternatives
What single-use items (e.g. straws, coffee cups, vegetable bags, plastic bags) does your family regularly use? What could be substituted instead?

I have started bringing reusable straws everywhere I go, so when my boyfriend and I order drinks we ask for no straws. We also always try and have our resuable bags for when we go shopping.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Lifestyle Travel Toiletries
What is the benefit of using bar soaps or refilling your travel sized containers? Is this an action you think you will keep in your life?

It cuts down on waste with reusing the containers I already have and saves money.  I have been refilling my travel size shampoo, conditioner, and body wash containers for years now.  it helps save money and the planet.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Pets Pet Waste
By composting your pet waste, you are turning waste into nutrients to feed the soil. In what other ways can you turn waste into a resource in your life?

By not only composting pet waste but also yard "waste" and things that can be composted from the household.
