The apartment building where I live in NYC has just begun a composting effort, which I joined on July 1.  I have a dedicated container where I store all of the food scraps, coffee grounds, and coffee filters, and which I keep in the refrigerator until it’s full, when I carry it down to the special containers that NYC niw provides for composting. If apartment dwellers in a big vity can do this, then almost everyone should be able to do so.
