My family and I watched "Our Planet" and we discussed how our irresponsible actions impact the environment and living animals (my kids 6 and 9 years old even cried in a couple of episodes-indeed is sad seeing animals dying because of human footprint). We are committed to do all we can to avoid polluting. (including getting rid of chemicals at home and develop a mentality of less is more). Happy plastic free July everyone :) Enjoying the ride!

After reading several reviews about how to compost and how to deal with seasons instead of starting my own I've decided to join a community compost. This option works better for me while I familiarize myself better in the topic. I get to freeze leftover for compost and then take it over the weekend to the center. This might not be what i was expecting but for now I am doing a difference and I don't get anxious for not getting it done. At least it's a start :)

I take my food scraps to a local community compost collection too. It's so easy!

I got really motivated to reduce plastic in all my personal care. Got bamboo toothbrush, shampoo bar (still working on old conditioner bottle - will do the switch as soon as it is over) no more toothpaste instead I got Bites but planning on doing my own with baking soda, coconut oil and essence oil. Changed to a menstrual cup, no more pads yey! and most importantly yesterday I did my first two DIY, 1) my deodorant and I'm lovin' so far and 2) an odor spray for bathroom - as simple as boiled water and essence oil. I am in love with the process of making my entire bathroom plastic free. This makes me feel happy about reducing my footprint to the environment! thank you for this initiative ~ Sabrina

I'm still working on toothpaste and getting a shampoo bar - you're an inspiration!
