I would really like to connect with the one who tossed it out, but better that I don't.  I walk most days, the same loop, and I recently started carrying a trash bag, following the example of others.  I now feel a little guilty if I don't carry an empty.  It's my home, and I want it to shine.

Having always been cat people (all rescues), I rescued a sad starving dog last summer, from the middle of the street on a hot day. She had a temperature of 104, an empty stomach and a coat that had never been groomed, and was so so filthy.  Lulu continues to be a challenge, but also a delight,  a bright little light, chasing shadows and birds and other things she can't catch, and this year learning to enjoy swimming with her Daddy. We will celebrate her one year with us on July 27.  There's also the rescued crow, but that's a long, long story.

How difficult was this challenge for you? What made it easy or difficult?

My only difficulty is leaving my bags in the car, but it's good exercise to go back!  The reusable bags are certainly easy to find and cheap to buy now.  I found the reusable produce bags at the farmer's market - a lady handmade them - along with reusable sandwich wrappers, etc., which are great for picnics.
