How could you mitigate issues that may arise if the restaurant does not want to let you use your own containers at first?

I decided that it was easier to take the time to eat my meal in the restaurant and bring my tupperware for the leftovers. I normally would ask for a to-go box, but it was easy to throw a medium sized tupperware in my car with my reusable bags and to decide that if I was ordering take out that I could spare the time to eat part of my meal at the restaurant. It eliminated the need to have the restaurant use my containers (which I could understand from a contamination perspective), while still accomplishing my goal of not using needless to-go containers. I guess I never gave the restaurant a chance to deny my containers, but this is how I would have mitigated the issue if refused.

I agree this is the way to go and makes things easy for us and for the restaurant.  And it's so nice to not create the waste with such a simple adjustment.

What did you learn by making your own cleaning products? What is the biggest difference in making vs buying?

I preferred the all purpose cleaner I made with vinegar and essential oils. It smells cleaner, refreshes rooms better and sanitizes all the same. ALSO IT IS WAY CHEAPER. It's a win all around, better for the environment, my wallet, and my home :)

Hi! So for a basic all purpose cleaner, I mix 1 part white vinegar with 1 part water, and add drops of essential oil. Lavender and lemon are my favorite. It can be used as an air deodorizer, because as the vinegar dries, it clarifies the air (BYE FEBREEZE). It is also a good solution for wiping down counter tops and mirrors.
