REFLECTION QUESTIONFood Use Reusable BagsHow difficult was this challenge for you? What made it easy or difficult?
Doreen McGee 7/03/2019 3:16 PMThe toughest part is to remember to have reusable bags with you when you go shopping. I always make sure that I have some in my vehicle, so that even if I forgot to take them in with me I can refuse the plastic bags at the til and put my purchase back into my shopping cart wheel it out to my vehicle and put it into the reusable bags at my vehicle. You really do not need plastic bags. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFood Shop the Bulk BinsHow has buying bulk impacted the quality of the food you receive? Why do you think Western society relies more on prepackaged foods rather than buying in bulk?
Doreen McGee 7/03/2019 3:05 PMBulk bins in groceries stores or in locations like "Bulk Barn" why would you shop bulk you can buy as much or as little as you like. What an absolute difference on the cost of buying spices when you buy from the bulk section. Bring your own container and have it weighted in is a start in reducing plastics. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONCommunity Keep My Community CleanHow does the act of picking up litter connect you more to your community?
Doreen McGee 7/03/2019 3:01 PMIt is disturbing how people just toss trash around whether it be around your community, on walking trails or out camping. This is our world and it would be nice if it could survive for generations to come. Picking up after yourself is the first step to a cleaner world.
