Worm manure tea applied to learning garden today -watering can filled 1/3 with tea and then fill rest with water and sprinkle on leaves and soil. Excess went into compost as did the left over manure from the stockings
Stopping at the park and ride at intersection of my street and I83 to explore some of the roadside plants and the insects attracted to them, i finished my visit by picking up a bagful of trash including several icees of plastic . One of items found was an uncashed check for $6000 or so. Was planning to send it to address on check when who did I see at first intersection i came to but police officer - flagged her down and turned in check ! Two good deeds !!!
Do some research on the toxic side affects of aluminum deodorant. After reading the side effects, can you think of instances where you may have experienced the side effects from this form of deodorant?
Honestly I dont use that much antiperspirant even though I sweat like crazy. Looked up these and saw that the risk for all the things supposedly wrong with using deodorant have not held up to scientific scrutiny - I suspect people do other things - smoking, drinking, eating poorly, wantonly spraying pesticides etc that are more harmful than this - I do use stick deodorant as suggested.
Couple of things here Have lesser celandine creeping its way into my borders at home. Very invasive-will take over entire ground covers in spring. They are also difficult to control because of the bulbets at base of stem and potato-like tubers. I tried composting them one year and ended up having to pick out the young celandine shoots from the compost all season. They were not killed by the heat of the compost pile. Now I have placed the pulled up plants in a dark plastic bag and have left it out in a hot sunny place with hopes of superfrying the plants so I can incorporate them into normal compost and keep them out of the landfill - If this fails, next step may be burning them in my fire pit. I will try to reuse this bag as a trash bag once this process is finished
handle is for my manual trimmer/scythe. I have gas powered trimmer which i havent used for at least three years -
