Create Your Own Action
Party pooper
When hosting parties, invite guests to bring their own plates, bowls, cups, and utensils to reduce the need for disposables. If guests bring dishes, ask them to bring lidded, reusable containers or use a waste free alternative like beeswax wraps for leftovers. I chose this because, especially for kid’s parties and holidays, there is a lot of waste from people who don’t want to do dishes and buy single-use dish/flatware. By asking guests to bring their own, it eliminates the need for single-use items and reduces the amount of cleanup for the host.
Participant Feed
Reflection, encouragement, and relationship building are all important aspects of getting a new habit to stick.
Share thoughts, encourage others, and reinforce positive new habits on the Feed.
To get started, share “your why.” Why did you join the challenge and choose the actions you did?

K M 7/28/2019 11:27 AMMy co-worker at a volunteer event brought a collapsible straw that she lost last night. Luckily, I had 2 spare metal straws and offered her one. I found out she is doing PFJ too when she accepted one of my spares! -

K M 7/26/2019 9:38 AMI am in DC and it has not been difficult getting my litter pick-up action in the morning. I have also been talking to the staff at my event about PFJ and they are into it! I reel them in with my desk space of many things, and I chat them up about single-use plastics X) -
