Today I’m teaching art for a camp, so I’ve been explaining to the kids different ways they can express their creativity without needing to buy new items through recycling paper! We’re making Matisse paper cutouts using recycled construction paper and cardboard from old boxes, origami butterflies using old newspapers, and they brought old books to be able to fold them and make hearts.

How does buying used differ from buying new? How does each purchasing decision make you feel?

Buying used items is a good way to cut down the need of production of new materials and the accumulation of old materials going to waste. I was able to find an elevated feeding bar for my 12 year old German Shepherd at a goodwill.
