    How does the act of picking up litter connect you more to your community?

    I've worked hard to train myself to pick up every piece of litter I see while I'm walking around instead of just walking by it. Even though it's a very small impact, it gets me into the mindset of caring about my community and environment. I like to leave the place a little cleaner than how I found it. I know the next person who walks by will appreciate the litter-free environment, and hopefully be inspired to not litter or even pick up litter.

      Every piece?! That's so impressive! I feel the same way regarding how it's such a small comparative impact when I pick up litter, but it is also mentally refreshing to walk down a clean street so I continue to try. Thank you so much for helping!

    Disposable tampons and menstrual pads are often quite expensive. What are the economic and personal benefits of this switch for you?

    I won't fill up my trash can with sanitary product wrappers, and I get to customize the pads I use! It's like being a kid again, finding ways to be creative. Also, I'll save trips to the grocery store and money to buy pads. Also, it can be embarrassing in public relations to change pads
