Andrea Lewicki 7/31/2019 11:56 AMWay to go team! Finishing the month strong! I think it is safe to say we will end in second place overall, and we have won the challenge between ZNE and the New England Aquarium. We should all be very proud of ourselves! Now, let's aim to keep up the great work year-round, and be even more prepared for next July!-
Jason Platt 7/31/2019 12:14 PMyeah it was quite the showing from team ZNE

Andrea Lewicki 7/30/2019 11:55 AMWe are in the home stretch with only a day to go (officially). I hope many of you will continue with the lifestyle changes you've been making and have even more of a positive impact. Thanks for making all of us at Zoo New England proud! You are the conservationists we strive to inspire. -
Andrea Lewicki 7/28/2019 7:57 PMI'm a little late checking in today, but man am I so excited to see we are in second place!!! So proud of our team, including the 8 members who have joined since yesterday. Our momentum continues to grow, even as we near the end of the month. It makes me hopeful that we will continue these positive changes long after July has ended. -
Andrea Lewicki 7/27/2019 7:12 AMOur team continues to grow! With only days left, we still welcomed 5 team members between yesterday and today. It is never to late to get started :) The hope is that our actions will continue long after the month of July is over! -
REFLECTION QUESTIONCommunity Join a Cleanup EffortHow does working with others to clean up your community make you feel?
Andrea Lewicki 7/22/2019 2:47 PMI was part of a beach clean-up July 14th and it felt great, to not only be helping my community, but to be inspiring others. I brought my godchildren along, and I received so many positive words from strangers about how the kids were "starting off right". -
REFLECTION QUESTIONCommunity Share My ActionsIn what ways is social media an effective tool for sharing your values?
Andrea Lewicki 7/22/2019 2:46 PMSocial media reaches so many at once. It is far more effective then talking to one or two people at a time. Posting to feeds also allows others to go back and search for a post they might vaguely remember. I've been sharing my actions all month long, and hopefully encouraging others to join in. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONCommunity Estimate Your Plastic Consumption and Go #PlasticNeutralWhat did you find out about your plastic consumption by using the calculator? What did or didn't surprise you?
Andrea Lewicki 7/22/2019 2:44 PMI was pleased that I consume less plastic than the average American, but still more than most of the world. It really makes you think about how culture plays a role, and goes to show why it's harder than just changing an individual's habits in order to make sustainable change. -
Andrea Lewicki 7/22/2019 2:40 PMWe are up to 271 team members! Do we think we can get to 300 before the month is over? Keep sharing the link to join on social media and email your friends! -
Andrea Lewicki 7/22/2019 8:06 AMWe are in the home stretch with 10 days left in the month. We have great momentum going, and what's more, we have made such an impact this month. If you aren't familiar with the different parts of this site, click the Zoo New England logo on the left side bar and it will take you to the page showing our collective impact. It is amazing to see how many items have been saved from landfills, how much time has been spent learning, and what kind of outreach has been made. I'm so proud of our team!! -
Andrea Lewicki 7/20/2019 7:48 AMShow me your plastic free ways to beat the extreme heat! What is everyone doing this weekend, and how are you minimizing your plastic impact while doing so?
