Most recycling goes to the landfill. They have a much higher chance of actually getting recycled if they are sorted and sent to a recycling company direct. Moreover, many items are recyclable but not accepted by the council.

I will properly recycle used contact lenses and packaging.

I will purchase toothpaste in an aluminum tube or in a glass jar or make my own!

I will purchase dry goods from the bulk section of my grocery store, and use my own containers to do so.

I will purchase meats and cheeses from the deli counter or a butcher shop, and use my own containers to do so.

If traveling, I will bring my own airplane snacks and eat at local restaurants to avoid take-out containers.

I will make my environmental actions visible by posting to my social media networks.
