Talia Latch 7/17/2019 12:37 PMI've been traveling a lot this month and I've actually done pretty well in the traveling to somewhere, but haven't done as well with the food I'm eating once I get to a place. But it hasn't been terrible. It's hard when you're in a different place, in someone else's space, because even though it's what you want to do - you can't force it on them. It's hard to differentiate your needs from someone else's when you want everyone to use less plastic! It's hard to not get angry or upset about plastic use when traveling! -
REFLECTION QUESTIONCommunity Share My ActionsIn what ways is social media an effective tool for sharing your values?
Talia Latch 7/17/2019 12:29 PMOther people get to see what I'm doing and possibly get inspired! I got a few responses to my posts of people wanting to know more and it was exciting to see others care!-

REFLECTION QUESTIONLifestyle Travel EatingWas this action easy or difficult to do? How did it change your travel experience?
Talia Latch 7/16/2019 1:42 PMIt was easy! I didn't need to spend a ton of money at the airport, which was great! It was strange to say no to snacks and drinks on the airplane, but it was okay! -
REFLECTION QUESTIONLifestyle Travel SmartHow can/did you prepare to be successful in this action? Did you engage in conversation with anyone about your new habit?
Talia Latch 7/16/2019 1:39 PMI brought my reusable utensils and water bottle, as well as a container of food for the airport so I didn't have to buy anything there. I was able to share my utensils with my sister on a road trip! -
REFLECTION QUESTIONLifestyle Travel ToiletriesWhat is the benefit of using bar soaps or refilling your travel sized containers? Is this an action you think you will keep in your life?
Talia Latch 7/16/2019 1:36 PMUsing bar soaps is great because you don't even have to worry about TSA! -
REFLECTION QUESTIONCommunity Keep My Community CleanHow does the act of picking up litter connect you more to your community?
Talia Latch 7/01/2019 11:53 AMIt fosters a sense of care for my community, a want to keep it beautiful and useful for all people and animals. -
Talia Latch 6/20/2019 7:06 AMI've been trying to eliminate my use of plastic for a while now, besides keeping some things I already have that are plastic. I haven't been able to completely eliminate plastic, but I've reduced it to very minimal. I like the idea of this challenge so that I'm hyper aware of my plastic use for a month. I kind of did my own Plastic Free July last year, but not on this website. I hope more people will become aware of the dangers of plastic and try harder to reduce their plastic use. I'm excited to go even further in my journey to being zero waste!
