Last day! I feel like it was just the other week that we were preparing for this challenge
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Food Advocate For More Food Packaging Options
Single use plastics have become normalized in our society to the point that most people don't see them as a problem. What would you say to a friend, colleague, or family member who may not understand why these disposables are an issue?

    Evan Komar 7/31/2019 5:32 AM
Some people can be stuck in their ways and not see an issue what something they've been doing for years but they can't deny facts! Statistics are always a good way to show people whats actually going on

What is the benefit of using bar soaps or refilling your travel sized containers? Is this an action you think you will keep in your life?

    Evan Komar's avatar

Bars of soap and travel containers are usually small so they are easier to pack and normally come in a size that is approved for carry on so it makes traveling overall easier

This type of clothing didn't require any harmful chemicals such as dyes to alter the fabrics.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Community Estimate Your Plastic Consumption and Go #PlasticNeutral
What did you find out about your plastic consumption by using the calculator? What did or didn't surprise you?

    Evan Komar's avatar
    Evan Komar 7/25/2019 5:48 AM
I was surprised by how much I realize I use on a weekly basis. The majority of my plastic use is in the items I pick up at the grocery store, which is one thing I have been aware of and want to work on.

They definitely do! I have a travel mug that I originally bought at Starbucks, and I've never had a problem getting it filled anywhere.
