What are the benefits of switching to bamboo toothbrushes? How would you implore others in your community to make this switch as well?

The benefit of bamboo brushes is that bamboo is sustainable and means less plastic hanging out in landfills and oceans for centuries to come. I think most people would happily switch to bamboo -- once you discover how pleasant a wooden handle feels compared to a plastic one, the switch is easy. But most people don't know bamboo toothbrushes exist. So I've been giving them to my family and to our houseguests, and the response is always positive. My sisters now buy bamboo tooth brushes for their own families. Word of mouth indeed!

If you think about every plastic toothbrush that has ever been made...they are still with us, somewhere in the environment. We have to vote with our dollars and demand that companies make products that have a full cycle shelf-life from extraction, manufacture, and decomposing. Bamboo due to it renewability and biodegradability is a great option.
