That Was a Close Shave

I will replace my disposable razors with steel razors. Why not try using hair conditioner instead of shaving foam for that baby smooth feel?

I'm starting a bit late, but I've realized just by reading through the challenges that there are small, really easy ways to make significant reductions in my environmental impact. Having certain goals in mind makes it that much easier to form more eco-friendly habits that will hopefully last well past the month of July.

I don't use straws very often, but on occasions where I go out to eat, I've been trying to get in the habit of asking the server to not bring straws since I've invested in my own metal straw.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Food Use Reusable Utensils
How can you be an advocate for using resusables instead of disposables for the rest of your community? Where are they currently dependent on disposable cutlery, and how can you convince them of the need for change?

I recently received a kit with metal utensils and a metal straw as a gift. At work, I had been using a lot of plastic utensils for lunch since our staff kitchen doesn't have metal utensils. Though using a single plastic fork seems small, I probably could have saved 20+ plastic utensils if I had been using metal utensils this year alone.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Food Takeout Pro
How could you mitigate issues that may arise if the restaurant does not want to let you use your own containers at first?

Perhaps emphasizing the potential environmental impact? I don't think anyone wants to waste resources in an ideal world.
