That Was a Close Shave
I will replace my disposable razors with steel razors. Why not try using hair conditioner instead of shaving foam for that baby smooth feel?

Kiersty Jude 7/01/2019 11:33 AMThe challenge is going great. It's really fun to education my daughter on the importance of it. Like she has really cool containers we put her snacks in and sandwich in instead of using plastic bags. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONPersonal Care That Was a Close ShaveWhat have you noticed about the economic and social impact of switching to steel razors? Was there ever really a need for disposable razors, or do you think it was just a way to sell more things?
Kiersty Jude 7/01/2019 11:32 AMI feel as though it was a way to just get people to buy more. I personally love my steel razor and I always use conditioner instead not only does it work amazing but it defiantly is way smoother then shaving cream. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFood Skip the StrawHave you noticed a shift in your community as more messaging about reusable straws becomes mainstream? Cite some examples.
Kiersty Jude 7/01/2019 11:31 AMI have tons of customers in the cafe that now bring there own straws. I always point them in the direction of the ones we sell. We have the paper ones as well but reusable ones are the most beneficial to use. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFood Use Reusable UtensilsHow can you be an advocate for using resusables instead of disposables for the rest of your community? Where are they currently dependent on disposable cutlery, and how can you convince them of the need for change?
Kiersty Jude 7/01/2019 11:28 AMIt all comes down to knowledge and what you can do to educate people. Most people don't understand how much we actually send into the waste if you show pictures it really helps a lot. Also bringing your own reusable utensils is fun. I carry mine in this cute container I can wash in the dish washer. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFood Takeout ProHow could you mitigate issues that may arise if the restaurant does not want to let you use your own containers at first?
Kiersty Jude 7/01/2019 11:26 AMMost Chinese takeout will take your containers. I bring mine every time and they have no problem with it. Same with restaurants since my daughter never finishes her food!! If they tell you no its usually because they bring your food back to the back to pack it up instead tell them you will do it yourself.-

REFLECTION QUESTIONPersonal Care Just Say NoDo some research on polystyrene and polyvinyl. How many items in your house already contain these toxins?
Kiersty Jude 6/29/2019 7:43 PMI have a bunch that contain them items. I have been trying to switch and get away from them
Little by little. I have also gotten rid of plastic baggies and now put everything in reusable containers for our lunches -
REFLECTION QUESTIONPersonal Care Brusha Brusha BrushaWhat are the benefits of switching to bamboo toothbrushes? How would you implore others in your community to make this switch as well?
Kiersty Jude 6/29/2019 7:41 PMFor starters they are antimicrobial so they are less likely to hold bacteria. I would just educate people more on the benefits I don’t think people understand how eco friendly they are and how much they are bio degradable I think people just
Look at them as a expensive toothbrush -
Kiersty Jude 6/29/2019 7:37 PMIf we all just used more reusable products the world would be a much better place! Even if it’s just reducing plastic bag use or even toothpaste in a tube. The amount of change we could make is endless!
