In honor of the OKC Zoo's Plastic Free Eco Challenge, today I used a reusable plastic plate at our picnic, along with regular silverware, drinking cup and metal straw. Most of my neighbors also used reusable plates, etc. Happy 4th!

I have joined the OKC Zoo's Plastic Free Eco Challenge (thanks to granddaughter Abby!) and have pledged to reduce single use plastics for the month of June. Today I ordered reusable produce bags and am looking forward to not fighting to open the thin plastic bags at the store.
