Today I focused on not using place when it came to food and eating. Requesting reusable utensils and plates is an easy way to reduce your harmful affect on the environment when eating out.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION

Reusable water bottles can be used for food item travel too!
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Food Use Reusable Utensils
How can you be an advocate for using resusables instead of disposables for the rest of your community? Where are they currently dependent on disposable cutlery, and how can you convince them of the need for change?

This is a cool challenge that has made me think about plastic in more aspects of my life. A lot of this stuff I already did, but with the categories, I now think of reducing my plastic use  in more ways in my life.

I watched “Inventing Tomorrow,” which was a Seattle International Film Festival production. It was about kids all over the world who competed at the Intel Science and Engineering Fair. All of the the research in the documentary was about protecting the environment. I recommend it.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION

With the added mindfulness of reducing your packaging, what have you noticed about the amount and type of single use plastics used for packaging when you shop in the grocery store?

I’m on a trip and had to purchase water bottles. Instead of buying a pack of single use plastic bottles, I bought a reusable water bottle that I can easily refill.
