The township where I live does not recycle stretchy plastic film/bags (like milk, bread, or grocery bags), or styrofoam, but my in-laws township does. We save up these products and take them back to my in-laws when we visit in order to divert them from landfill.

I will avoid sending 1 disposable cup(s) to the landfill per day by using a reusable mug or bringing my own collapsible cup.

I will not accept any disposable bags when making purchases, including produce bags.

I will purchase meats and cheeses from the deli counter or a butcher shop, and use my own containers to do so.

I will purchase produce items without plastic packaging.

I will keep 1 plastic straw(s) out of the landfill per day by refusing straws or using my own glass/metal straw.
