Plastic Free Lunch Boxes
I will only pack reusable cutlery, drinkware and tupperware-like containers in my children's lunches to reduce plastic waste.
Family
Discover Together
I will spend 15 minutes educating my family on the basics of living a reduced/no-plastic lifestyle.
Family
Provide the Alternatives
I will provide daily plastic free alternatives (straws, water bottles, cuttlery, bar soap, bamboo toothbrushes, etc.) for my family to use.

Kathleen Harr 7/25/2019 7:10 AMLeft my grocery bags in the car so I carried my purchased items out and put them in the bag in the car. -
Kathleen Harr 7/20/2019 6:34 PMMy granddaughter got a cold drink at a convenience store with her Pop Pop but resisted drinking it till she got home because she remembered me telling her about the problems plastic straws were causing to wildlife. At home she used one of our stainless steel straws instead. Lesson well learned! -
Kathleen Harr 7/20/2019 6:29 PMWe are using mesh bags when purchasing produce instead of plastic bags. We are reusing the plastic bags that bread comes in for multiple purposes before recycling them. It is a challenge to see how many times we can use them. -
Kathleen Harr 7/13/2019 8:28 PMWe used our reusable cloth bags at the grocery store and passed on using bags at another store. If I forget to take a cloth bag into the store I carry my purchase out without any bag. -
Kathleen Harr 7/04/2019 7:06 PMYesterday my granddaughter and I both tried bar shampoo and conditioner packaged in cellophane instead of plastic. We liked them and will will continue to use them. We discussed the packaging problem with so manly products we commonly use. I also resorted a bag full of trash left at our house so as to make sure everything that could be recycled was put in proper containers.
