What did you learn by making your own cleaning products? What is the biggest difference in making vs buying?

Instead of buying draino to unclog my drains I googled a DIY at home version which included boiling water, baking soda and vinegar. It was super easy and I had all the materials I needed right at home, no need to go shopping! Just fill the drain up with baking soda, add vinegar - let it fizz for awhile then rinse with boiling water. It did the trick! Knowing I wasn't dumping some harsh chemicals down the drain was a real plus.

What are the benefits of switching to bamboo toothbrushes? How would you implore others in your community to make this switch as well?

Plastic toothbrushes are made with hard plastics that end up in landfills. An adult american uses an average 300 toothbrushes in a lifetime. By switching to sustainable bamboo toothbrush, it's just one more step in saving the world. Do your part, in every aspect of life.
