REFLECTION QUESTIONFood Minimize PackagingWith the added mindfulness of reducing your packaging, what have you noticed about the amount and type of single use plastics used for packaging when you shop in the grocery store?
Samantha Halter 7/05/2019 12:46 PMStopped by Costco today and literally almost everything had plastic packaging on it. Even the bananas! Forgot what I went in there to get, left to run the rest of my errands including stopping by a local farm stand where I was able to pick up some fresh produce. -
Samantha Halter 7/04/2019 5:20 AMInstead of eating a Popsicle today, cut up some fresh fruit like watermelon or grill some peaches! Tasty (and healthy) alternative than plastic packaged treats! -
Samantha Halter 7/01/2019 9:20 AMReason why everyone should stop using single use plastic bags--- On average we only recycle one plastic bag in every 200 we use. Each year, an estimated 500 billion to 1 trillion plastic bags are consumed worldwide. That comes out to over one million per minute.
