Landon's actions
Create Your Own Action
It's just water.
Refuse the paper towels at the public restrooms. Shake em off. Use your shirt. The insides of pockets are great. It's better than the germ filled air dryers. I mean ... it's just water.

Landon Green 7/25/2019 12:26 PMOnce I get paid tomorrow, gonna do more meal-prep! -
Landon Green 7/24/2019 2:33 PMI am more aware of even taking communal food if it's wrapped in plastic. #freefoodisntfree -
Landon Green 7/23/2019 6:51 PMAvoided the temptation to buy and buy today just because i could. Saying no to retail therapy! -
Landon Green 7/22/2019 5:47 AMI'm really slacking at checking-in, but i promise i am keeping up. Mindfulness toward plastic use is a fulltime job, and complacency is always at the door (especially when you feel overwhelmed). -
Landon Green 7/20/2019 6:39 AMI missed a check-in yesterday, but i went to Rollin Oats. They have a dry bulk area, but you have to use their bags. Still a lot of plastic, though i did find liquid detergent in a paper bottle/carton. -
Landon Green 7/18/2019 8:54 AMLearning more and more every day. I still use 20-40lbs of one-time use plastics (regardless of how/when I dispose of it in recycling or trash). I can do better. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONPersonal Care Just Say NoDo some research on polystyrene and polyvinyl. How many items in your house already contain these toxins?
Landon Green 7/18/2019 8:51 AMI have never read so many labels in my life. I have plenty of PVC in my home, but it is important about how to properly dispose of these semi-immortal materials should the need arise. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONPets Pet WasteBy composting your pet waste, you are turning waste into nutrients to feed the soil. In what other ways can you turn waste into a resource in your life?
Landon Green 7/18/2019 8:50 AMIt's not as hard as you'd think. I still at least try to dispose of it properly in trash (which is incinerated for energy), but more actions can be learned. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONCommunity Estimate Your Plastic Consumption and Go #PlasticNeutralWhat did you find out about your plastic consumption by using the calculator? What did or didn't surprise you?
Landon Green 7/18/2019 8:46 AMFor some reason, the provided link didn't work, but I found another calculator here:
https://www.omnicalculator.com/ecology/plastic-footprint
Estimating High, I still produce ~30lbs of plastic waste (trash/recyclables) a year. I can do better. That's not including plastic waste from chemicals, fibers, or linings from other waste (paper-ware and aluminum cans).
