Learning more

I have ordered the documentary "The True Cost" on Netflix and plan to watch it when I return from my vacation. I find that watching a documentary is a great way to learn more about what one can do to help our earth.

Just watched a video for Oceana regarding their efforts to spread the use of T.E.D.'s across the world's oceans in order to save more sea turtle lives....made a small donation to help them.

Continue picking up trash when I see it, especially at the BioPark.

Recycled two more 33 gallon bags of plastic water bottles and aluminum cans.  The gym I attend saved a stuffed bag for me to recycle during my vacation.  Why someone who works there didn't just put it in their curbside recycling bin (like I do) heaven only knows!

Just received my reuseable produce bags!  Looking forward to using them instead of the individual plastic bags.

Just watched the documentary, The True Cost.  This is about the fashion industry and its impact on the earth and on all the garment workers and farmers.  Although I thought I knew about this industry I learned a lot more.

I usually reuse the plastic produce bags for various things, so not having any will be interesting.  I just purchased some reuseable produce bags from 3bbags (made in America!)  Looking forward to using them.

What is the benefit of using bar soaps or refilling your travel sized containers? Is this an action you think you will keep in your life?

I hope that by refilling travel sized containers, less of them will be made which in turn means less plastic being used.  I will continue to do this.
