REFLECTION QUESTIONLifestyle Homemade CleanersWhat did you learn by making your own cleaning products? What is the biggest difference in making vs buying?
Kyle Garske 7/22/2019 7:44 AMThey're so easy to make! I thought they would've required some unique or a lot of ingredients, but it's so simple! -
REFLECTION QUESTIONLifestyle Travel ToiletriesWhat is the benefit of using bar soaps or refilling your travel sized containers? Is this an action you think you will keep in your life?
Kyle Garske 7/12/2019 7:53 AMI can almost ensure higher quality toiletries during my trips. I'll definitely keep doing this action. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONLifestyle Travel EatingWas this action easy or difficult to do? How did it change your travel experience?
Kyle Garske 7/12/2019 7:52 AMThis one was easy enough, I've been doing this to avoid expensive airport meals and lame airplane meals for years. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONLifestyle Travel SmartHow can/did you prepare to be successful in this action? Did you engage in conversation with anyone about your new habit?
-
REFLECTION QUESTIONFood Shop the Bulk BinsHow has buying bulk impacted the quality of the food you receive? Why do you think Western society relies more on prepackaged foods rather than buying in bulk?
Kyle Garske 7/08/2019 8:11 AMThe quality was just as good if not better than the individual packages! I think we rely heavily, not just in western society, on convenience. If something is able to just be grabbed, tossed in a cart, used, then discarded it is very easy to not put in the effort for food. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONPets Pet WasteBy composting your pet waste, you are turning waste into nutrients to feed the soil. In what other ways can you turn waste into a resource in your life?
Kyle Garske 7/08/2019 8:07 AMAnything that isn't a health risk and it's past its end of life is due for some reuse! I'm actively trying to reuse materials instead of replacing. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONPersonal Care Pretty oh so PrettyHow can you advocate for the importance of reducing packaging to the rest of your friends, family and larger community?
Kyle Garske 7/08/2019 8:06 AMI've just tried to advocate through example, the best way to tell people it's possible is to show it. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONPersonal Care Just Say NoDo some research on polystyrene and polyvinyl. How many items in your house already contain these toxins?
-
REFLECTION QUESTIONFood Start CompostingDo an inventory of how much food waste you would save from going to the landfill if you start composting all of the time. What are the added benefits of having compost that is readily accessible?
Kyle Garske 7/08/2019 8:05 AMJust the benefit of having a perfect location for foodstuffs and an increasing reminder to be more efficient with food purchases and eating. -
