Participant Feed
Reflection, encouragement, and relationship building are all important aspects of getting a new habit to stick.
Share thoughts, encourage others, and reinforce positive new habits on the Feed.
To get started, share “your why.” Why did you join the challenge and choose the actions you did?

REFLECTION QUESTIONFood Make Your OwnHow do you feel about being more involved in the food preparation process? Joyful, overwhelmed, engaged, empowered? What are the benefits of choosing to process or produce your own food instead of buying it pre-processed?
Nancy Gallagher 7/08/2019 1:26 PMI love the idea of encouraging people to cook and create. I would suggest joining a CSA in your area. Fresh produce is a catalyst to being creative. -
Nancy Gallagher 7/02/2019 9:16 AMI appreciate the way this challenge opens up my eyes to what I use/throw away.
I actually made newspaper trash can liners for the small cans in the house. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFood Use Reusables at WorkIt is often true that we only have control over our own actions and not the collective community. How can you lead by example when it comes to switching disposables for reusable dishes in your community?
Nancy Gallagher 6/13/2019 10:49 AMThis is becoming so much easier. But I can do better each week. My goal is to NOT be using any non-reusable plastic for my lunch each day by the end of July!-
Lizzie Van Deusen 6/13/2019 11:26 AMThis is a great goal Nancy! Keep up the hard work.

REFLECTION QUESTIONFood Use Reusable ContainersHow can you think outside the box (or bag!) when it comes to disposables?
Nancy Gallagher 6/13/2019 10:48 AMI bought etee wraps and that has really changed how I focus on how I get food from home to work each day. It is no big deal to fill a reusable container and water bottle now! -
Nancy Gallagher 6/13/2019 10:45 AMIt seems like an emergency to change our impact on the environment. I want to be an example to those around me too.
