Cathey Foelber 7/17/2019 3:18 PMI am getting so good at taking my own bags into the grocery store! No plastic bags!
My only issue is with trash bags. What do you put your trash in????-
Claire Downs 7/17/2019 5:52 PMYou can put them in nothing at all! The only reason we really need bags is for wet stuff, and if you have space you can compost most of that, put it down the drain before throwing it in the trash, or just empty your trash into a larger can more frequently. If that doesn't work, you can also look for biodegradable bags. They're a bit questionable, but a step in the right direction.
Have you done the waste audit challenge? That can help you get a sense of what you're actually throwing away, and you can see where you can cut out trash entirely.

Cathey Foelber 7/17/2019 3:17 PMThis past Sunday, I gave a baby shower for my son and his wife who are expecting twins. It was hot as anything, but instead of serving plastic water bottles, beer cans/bottles, and wine in plastic cups, I pulled out my canning jars to use as drink glasses! I made a huge jug of ice-cold lemon water, a jug of sangria, and had a keg of beer. The canning jars were perfect! No plastic!!! Yay!
