Focusing on plastic consumption made me realize how many food items are stored in plastic and how much plastic I am bringing home when I go grocery shopping. That is what surprised me.

WOW!!! I went to the grocery store yesterday. The amount of items that I fit in my two t-shirt bags would have filled about eight plastic bags. And, I did not have to worry about my t-shirt bags breaking. The bags were definitely worth making.

Over the weekend, I re-purposed 10 old t-shirts to make re-usable bags to take with me shopping. No sewing involved. Hope I can upload an image later.
